Meet Teresa
Saari
Author of
Imogene of the Pacific Kingdom
and
Dager of the Tasman Empire
Teresa Saari currently lives in
Duncan, British Columbia with her family. Writing became a main
focus of her life a few years ago, when her eldest daughter then
ten, couldn’t find anything to read which sparked her interest.
Determined that she would someday become an avid reader like
herself, Teresa sat down at her computer and began to write her
first story.
“Creating the character, Imogene was an exciting experience for the
girls and me. She became such a big part of our lives during the
actual writing that the girls would even come home from school and
ask, how’s Imogene? She couldn’t have been more real for any of us,
if she’d been sitting right there in the office next to me.” By the
end of January 2004, there were on the average four copies of
Imogene in thirteen Cole’s/Smithbooks outlets in and around the
Edmonton area.
Allbooks Reviews, listed as one of Writer’s Digest top 101 websites
for writers has chosen Imogene of the Pacific Kingdom for the
Editor’s Choice Award for 2004, under the children’s fiction
category. The second title, Dager of the Tasman Empire was released
on December 16th, 2004. Book three in the Underwater Series is in
the development stages.
