Quest Publishing and Canadian Children’s Author to Introduce New Children’s Series

Author Teresa Saari, most widely know for her young adult books, “Imogene of the Pacific Kingdom” and “Dager of the Tasman Empire”, has recently agreed to write the “Along The Way” series for Quest Publishing/Eye Wonder Studios.

Active in promoting children’s literacy, Teresa Saari has appeared on radio Canada wide, sharing tips and ideas with listeners on how to encourage children to read. She has also appeared on television, regarding “Imogene” and “Dager”.

Along the Way books will be fun and interactive, all the while teaching basic facts about local people, places and things. This is the premise of the books; the inclusion of games and puzzles which will cover geography, history, math, science, horticulture and cultures. Short stories will centre on social problems and solutions the stories’ characters face.

The philosophy of Quest Publishing fits in completely with Teresa Saari’s goal to encourage children to read and she looks forward to working with them. The author she sees this project as an opportunity to further spread her wings. The first book in the Along The Way series is scheduled to be released in Fall 2005.

Teresa Saari will be at the Edmonton Woman’s Show on April 16th and 17th.
